You're invited to a Fundraiser Brunch & Silent Auction on Sunday, June 28th at 9:30am at Club Koukouai — Theo's beach house down by Koukouai Beach. We're raising funds to complete the purchase of and begin work on the Papaloa Bay Community Resource Center, the 2.6-acre parcel across from Palapala Ho'omau Church that will become Kīpahulu's permanent gathering place.

We ask that each guest contribute a minimum donation of $100 to attend — this is a fundraiser first and foremost, and every dollar counts toward securing this land for our community. Those contributing ingredients or in-kind support toward the brunch are warmly welcome to join, and any additional donation is deeply appreciated.

Beyond the fundraising, this is a chance to practice the very laulima that will bring this vision to life — and what a sweet thing it is to gather, celebrate, and strengthen the bonds that make Kīpahulu so special.

The morning will unfold as follows:

9:30am — Brunch & silent auction opens

10:30am — Hula performance by Kīpahulu's own hālau

Following — Silent auction closes

The menu will feature:

• Local egg scramble with sautéed garden greens

• Local handmade bacon & venison sausage patties

• Fruit parfait with Kīpahulu macnut & coconut sprinkle

• Local organic pastries

• Local coffee & fresh juices

Reservations required by Wednesday, June 24th so we know how much food to prepare. Reserve online here or with any KCA board member directly.

We're also still accepting:

• Auction donations — bodywork, crafts, local goods & services, gift certificates, anything creative

• Ingredient donations for the brunch

• Volunteers to help prep, cook & clean up

As written in the escrow contract, we have three months to inspect and approve the state of the land, so we hope to finish clearing the vines by mid-July.

KCA Board Meeting to discuss fundraising for Papaloa Bay

8:30am to 10am @ Ho’onanea (Theo’s stand)

Please join the KCA board on Friday, May 22nd to discuss and plan fundraising for the purchase of Papaloa Bay. Although we have applied for funding from the county budget, we want to be prepared to complete the purchase in the event the funding does not come through.

We will discuss potential fundraising activities, like food sales, and music events, as well as seeking out donations from potential large donors.
