Join us for a volunteer day clearing philodendron vines from the KCA's new home (officially in escrow!), Papaloa Community Resource Center, across the parking lot from Palapala Ho'omau Church.

Please come prepared with work clothes to protect from sap, gloves, saws, sickles, water, and snacks to share if you feel inspired. 

We will start at 10am and go until around 1pm.

As written in the escrow contract, we have three months to inspect and approve the state of the land, so we hope to finish clearing the vines by mid-July.

KCA Board Meeting to discuss fundraising for Papaloa Bay

8:30am to 10am @ Ho’onanea (Theo’s stand)

Please join the KCA board on Friday, May 22nd to discuss and plan fundraising for the purchase of Papaloa Bay. Although we have applied for funding from the county budget, we want to be prepared to complete the purchase in the event the funding does not come through.

We will discuss potential fundraising activities, like food sales, and music events, as well as seeking out donations from potential large donors.

First Volunteer Day at Papaloa Bay Community Resource Center

Join us for our first volunteer day to begin clearing philodendron vines from the KCA's new home (officially in escrow!), Papaloa Community Resource Center, across the parking lot from Palapala Ho'omau Church.

We plan to discuss the scheduling of future volunteer days when we gather next week to figure out what will work best for everyone.
